Common name: Snakebark maple (shared with other maples), stripebark maple
Acer maximowiczii is a deciduous tree only native to China, and our specimen lives in the Sino-Himalayan Garden. The leaves are quite simple and turn golden yellow in autumn. It has beautiful, striped bark and is sometimes called A. pectinatum subsp. maximowiczii .
