Chenopodium quinoa ‘Red Head’
Common name: Quinoa
Chenopodium quinoa ‘Red Head’ grows well in our damp climate and makes a nice accent in the Vegetable Garden. The seed heads start out green but turn to red at the end of the season. Quinoa is an ancient pseudocereal and needs to have its bitter coating removed before eating.
