Echinacea [PUFF VANILLA] = TNECHPV
Common name: Coneflower
Echinacea [PUFF VANILLA] = TNECHPV is a compact, double-flowered hybrid with a strong upright habit developed by Terra Nova Nursery in Oregon. This cultivar blooms from June through August and grows to a height of about 55 centimetres (22 inches). The flowers, which are described as being tidy and well-formed, open with green buds. These are followed by cream ray florets surrounding a yellow cone. Once fully bloomed, the flowers resemble puff balls.
E. [PUFF VANILLA] = TNECHPV attracts birds and butterflies to the garden. If the plant is kept in the garden to overwinter, the seedheads will provide food for finches and other hungry winter birds.
Echinacea [PUFF VANILLA] = TNECHPV can be found in Bed 96C of the Backyard Bird Garden. The photos were taken in early August 2023.
