Hibiscus moscheutos is a perennial plant with huge, 5-petalled flowers that bloom in late summer. It is native to Ontario all the way south to Florida. Many cultivars have been developed. In our Garden we currently have two dark red cultivars, Hibiscus moscheutos [Crepe Suzette] = '4407' (Summer Spice Series) and H. moscheutos [Amaretto] = '4404' (Summer Spice Series). The photos of 'Crepe Suzette' were taken late August, 2022.
