Common name: Aurora hybrid dogwood
Cornus x rutgersensis [AURORA] = 'Rutban' is a small dogwood, a hybrid of C. florida and C. kousa developed at Rutgers University. It is covered in large white flowers in late spring. Our specimen was planted in 2013 along the Rhodo Walk (Bed 73). It is sterile and does not produce fruit. It is very disease-resistant.
