Rhododendron Walloper Group contains several large-flowered rhododendrons.They grow 3-4 m (10-12') tall and wide. We have R. 'Pink Walloper', R. 'Red Walloper,' and R. 'Point Defiance'. These were part of a series of rhodos developed in the mid-1900s in western Washington. They were called 'Walloper' because of their gigantic size. They are found in Bed 73 on the north side of the Rhodo Walk. See Garden Story.
