Common name: European bush cherry, dwarf cherry, Mongolian cherry
Prunus fruticosa is a small, deciduous shrub. It has small white flowers followed by sour, red fruit (used for jams). The leaves turn yellow in the fall. Seven were planted in 1991 in bed 58B, but only one seems to have survived.
