Common name: Dogbane, Indian hemp
Apocynum is a flowering plant, traditionally used to poison dogs. We have two species in the Garden. Apocynum androsaemifolium was planted in the Canadian Heritage Garden (but may have disappeared). However, A. cannabinum is alive and well in the White Garden. Both are both native to North America.
