Common name: Serbian pine, Heldreich's pine.
Pinus heldreichii 'Compact Gem' is a small pine (1 m/3 ft) with beautiful brushy foliage. It is native to the Balkans, and its species is named after Theodor von Heldreich, a 19th century German botanist and plant explorer. It is synonymous with P. leucodermis.
Our specimen is not doing well and is probably suffering from transplant shock.
