Common name: Arizona sycamore
Platanus wrightii is a deciduous tree native to the American southwest. It has mottled bark and deeply lobed leaves. We have one small tree in the Stanley Smith Garden and another small one in the Alma VanDusen Meadow which was grown from seed by one of the gardeners and planted in honour of his father.
