Common name: Chinese Silver Rhododendron
Rhododendron argyrophyllum is native to forest areas of China. It has large pale pink flowers and silvery-white indumentum on the underside of the large oval leaves.
We have several cultivars in our Garden. R. argyrophyllum 'Chinese Silver', R. argyrophyllum subsp. nankingense (darker pink flowers), and R. argyrophyllum subsp. hypoglaucum.
