Common name: Veitch's winter hazel
Corylopsis veitchiana is a deciduous shrub native to Asia that was brought to the West by plant hunter E. H. Wilson for Veitch's Nurseries in England around 1900. It has longer yellow flower racemes than other Corylopsis species in our Garden and blooms in late winter at the northern end of the Winter Walk.
