Stewartia monadelpha is a small deciduous tree with orange, peeling bark, which is especially attractive along the winter Rhodo Walk. In early summer its small white camellia-like flowers nestle among shiny green leaves. It was a Tree of the Month. The trees along the Rhodo Walk were planted in 1973.
