Common name: Snakebark maple
Acer forrestii is a maple native to China. Its leaves are long ovals, slightly lobed, and turn orange in the fall. The bark is striped. It is also known as Acer pectinatum ssp. forrestii. We have one specimen a bit hidden in Bed 124 - it is across and up from Rhododendron ririei in Bed 123.
