Common name: Witch hazel
Hamamelis x intermedia 'Pallida' is a hybrid of H. mollis and H. japonica. It has beautiful yellow fall colour and pale yellow flowers in winter. Some think the flowers smell like soap. Occasionally the dried leaves stay on as it flowers. Its form is often vase-shaped and spreading. 'Pallida' means 'pale.' It is sometimes called H. mollis 'Pallida'
