Horizontal Column by Wolfgang Kubach and Anna Maria Wilmsen-Kubach, husband and wife team from Germany, created this lighthearted work as part of the 1975 Stone Sculpture Symposium. It reminds some visitors of a half-squeezed tube of toothpaste.
The couple began working together in 1968. In 1998, the sculptors founded the Fondation Kubach-Wilmsen and Stone Sculpture Park in Germany. Wolfgang died in 2007.
