Common name: Snakebark maple, Her's maple
Acer davidii subsp. grosseri is a species of maple native to China identified by Père David and named after him. The bark is olive green with white stripes. The leaves are unlobed and not traditionally maple-shaped. It is a medium-sized multi-stemmed tree up to 15m. Small flowers bloom in early spring. Found in Bed 95 near the Korean Pavilion. Synonym: A. grosseri.
