Common name: Green ash, downy ash, swamp ash, water ash, cimmaron ash
Fraxinus pennsylvanica is native to eastern North America. It is deciduous, with beautiful yellow leaves in the fall. It is a common street tree. In fact, 60% of the street trees in Edmonton are green ash. However, these trees are threatened by the emerald ash borer. Our cultivar is also known as 'Cimmzam.'
