Rhododendron adenosum Kuluense Group blooms early in the Sino-Himalayan Garden. It is a tall shrub, up to 4m, and is native to Sichuan. It is nearly extinct in the wild. Formerly R. kuluense. There is little information about this plant on the Internet, and some of the few references refer to the specimen at VanDusen.
