Meta Morphosis was created by Olga Jancic (1929-2012) in marble. She was a Serbian sculptor representing Yugoslavia at the 1975 Stone Sculpture Symposium. She said that sculpture is always a mystery, especially done in stone, and that it seems to set up a friendship with its surroundings.
Jancic started studying sculpture at the Belgrade Academy of Fine Arts at the end of World War II and had her first exhibit in 1948. In 1993 she donated 90 sculptures to the City of Belgrade.
