Common Name: Medlar
Mespilus germanica is often commented upon by visitors, especially in the fall when it sports spiky, apple-like fruit (pomes) which need to be bletted before it is edible. The small tree can be found at the western edge of the Grass Bed south of Livingstone Lake. Tree of the month.
