November 2025

An Important Reminder Regarding Covid

The forms of Covid going around now are mostly very mild so people don’t take it seriously, but you can still have serious post Covid conditions (aka ‘Long Covid’) after having a mild case of Covid. Women are much more likely to be affected than men—the highest risk being for women in their 40s and 50s. Often juggling careers as well as family responsibilities, women are less likely to seriously rest if they have a virus.

Post Covid conditions can include heart and lung problems, painful inflammatory conditions as well as debilitating chronic fatigue even if the Covid itself was very mild.

So please continue to stay up-to-date with your Covid and flu vaccinations, and if you have symptoms of any kind of a virus, stay home and rest.

To raise awareness the Living with Long Covid exhibit is now on at the Museum of Vancouver.
